The hunt for cars is easier
WITH the aim of improving usability and increasing search flexibility, Cars guide.com.au has unveiled groundbreaking technology in the form of its new search tool.
Car buyers can now multi select a variety of makes and models to be compared in a single search result.
On all other Australian automotive classified sites, the consumer is required to select from a very narrow result set, starting with only a single brand, and then is forced to execute several searches when comparing cars.
Carsguide.com.au’s new funnel was designed as part of a longer customer-centric approach to helping car buyers find the right car.
With the aim being better able to showcase the seller’s car on the site, the listing now features larger images of the car and shows more details with clearly marked calls to action.
In addition to the search engine update, the car details pages and gallery pages also are updated to increase visibility and ease of use of the pages.
Chief technology and product officer Joey Caisse said that the new designs have tested ‘‘very positively’’ in Carsguide’s consumer research.
‘‘We are extremely excited to bring these market leading innovations to our customers,’’ Mr Caisse said, ‘‘especially at the end of a month where we have experienced our highest traffic to date.’’
