MOTORHOME manufacturer Sunliner has released a new special-edition Twist motorhome.

The 7.6m vehicle has been updated from a specialedition Twist model produced by the brand in 2009, with an electric slide-out dining/living area for four among the changes for this year’s model.

A fully equipped kitchen is fitted with a two-door 175-litre fridge, a microwave, a cooktop with both gas burners and electric plates, an oven and grill and a pull-out pantry.

The slide-out dining area is equipped with a slidingrail-mounted dining table to vary the distance from the seats as required, as well as dual swivelling front cabin seats, a CD sound system and a TV/DVD player.

The kitchen and sleeping quarters are both equipped with overhead lockers with spring-loaded hinges and LED lighting.

Sleeping is done on a double bed with inner-spring mattress and lift-up function for access to the storage space beneath, as well as roller drawers for storage and a wardrobe.

The 2013 edition, which starts from $152,990 plus onroads, also gets a full ‘‘dry’’ ensuite at the rear of the motorhome, with a separate shower, ceramic bowl toilet, a fan hatch and bathroom window for ventilation.

The single-hopper doubleglazed windows (with screens and blinds) provide good ventilation and can be locked open for travel. All windows have privacy blinds and insect screens.

The motorhome sites on an Iveco 50C15 drivetrain, which has a 125kW/400Nm three-litre turbo-diesel powerplant and a six-speed automatic transmission, as well as a reversing camera and satnav.

Among the other features is a storage area with slide mechanism for a generator, as well as a single 135W solar panel and 1000W inverter, two 4-litre LPG bottles and a handy electric entry step.

The Twist also has a 120-litre fresh water and 60-litre grey water capacity, airconditioning and a diesel interior heater.

Sunliner has been making RVs since 1974, is Australian owned and operated, and offers a 24-month workmanship warranty.
