Luxury craft to make a splash
A NEW range watercraft will Australian waters.
Gold Coast boat builder Keith Hanson will develop an exclusive range of flybridge, sunbridge and sports motor yachts, from 54 to 66 feet, to complement his New Ocean Yachts range.
Hanson has more than 40 years’ experience racing, cruising and selling boats around Australia.
He plans to release the first of luxury soon hit of the new Whitehaven Motor Yachts range, the 6000 flybridge, at the Sydney International Boat Show at the end of July. The 6000 flybridge will be able to sleep six to eight people and has a fuel capacity of 5500 litres.
The hull is designed to deliver a dry, stable ride when cruising between 18 and 22 knots but also give economical displacement performance for long-range cruising.
Emphasis has been put on the bow and chine design to ensure smooth, dry entry when running, with the dead-rise and flat chines of the running surface offering stability.
Above the waterline, each model in the Whitehaven range will have a full-beam master stateroom with a choice of two or three stateroom accommodation layouts.
There is also a full-height engine room, accessed beside a tender garage.
