10 YEARS AGO: The Ter­ri­tory Gov­ern­ment has joined the YouTube band­wagon and started stream­ing into peo­ple’s homes. Chief Min­is­ter Paul Hen­der­son used his first YouTube broad­cast to out­line his agenda for the Prime Min­is­ter’s 2020 Sum­mit.

20 YEARS AGO: Plans for an $11 bil­lion LNG plant near Dar­win have been bol­stered af­ter flows from a Ti­mor Sea oil field in­di­cated there were enough re­serves to jus­tify it. Shell De­vel­op­ment Aus­tralia said its Evans Shoal-2 Well flowed at a rate of 25.4 mil­lion stan­dard cu­bic feet per day.

25 YEARS AGO: The $3 mil­lion needed to fin­ish the sur­vey of the pro­posed Al­ice Springs to Dar­win rail­way should be avail­able from the next Fed­eral Bud­get.
