NT News - - OPINION -

AND so just when are the Government going to grow a set and actually get a clue that we, the great unwashed, are sick and tired of their joint feeble attempts at tackling this epidemic of Youth Crime.

We have at least one attempted break and enter or theft every couple of weeks in our area (Leanyer). The police do a remarkable job where and when they can and are totally unsupported by the other agencies, eg the courts and justice organisations.

When was it a fashionable thing to provide TVs and MacDonald’s Meals in 31/2 facilities, after being found guilty of an offence, and in some cases of over 50 prior guilt findings. The surroundings should be stark, the regime tough and unbending. Every time these little darlings don’t like something they riot, destroy and burn. Sorry but it’s time to get tough and don’t bother trying to tell me they have had a bad upbringing, not interested. No one handed me anything on a plate, and if you want to come and steal the things from me that I have worked hard to buy, you better be prepared to run up against a hard edge. Sick of your bleating and sooking. Get a job, educate yourself or reap the whirlwind
