BORDER DODGER
A MAN has been caught out allegedly lying on his border entry form while trying to make it into the NT.
The 34-year-old man drew the suspicion of police at the Kulgera border checkpoint after stating he had left Victoria 15 days earlier. Incident Controller Acting Commander Sachin Sharma said investigations revealed the man had previously submitted a border entry form noting a Victoria address, then lodged a second form after the hotspot declaration, this time omitting his Victorian travel details. Police found the man at Yulara, where he admitted the breach.
