Four teens charged over spree
FOUR youths have been arrested in relation to an alleged crime spree in Darwin.
Police allege that between August 26 and September 1, the youths, aged between 13 and 15, were involved in multiple incidents of aggravated robbery, stealing and damage to property.
Strike Force Trident detectives and the Dog Operations Unit arrested the youths at different locations in the northern suburbs on Thursday and they were taken to the Palmerston Watch House.
They were charged with multiple offences, with 31 charges laid in total.
They were remanded to appear in court on Friday.
Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said police had worked hard to find the youths.
“The behaviour of these youths is despicable and frankly concerning. They were involved in a number of unprovoked violent aggravated robberies, leaving the victims traumatised,” he said.
