Mr Porter was appointed to Assistant Commissioner People and Cultural Reform and Mr Wurst to Assistant Commissioner Greater Darwin, Road Safety and Support.
Mr Wurst said the change in role was a privilege.
“I look forward to working with my team and the community,” Mr Wurst said.
“To be here at this point in time and knowing what role and responsibility I have for the Territory and for the community is a privilege.”
Mr Wurst’s career with NT Police spans 26 years, beginning in 1995 and serving in a number of remote stations within the Territory.
