It’s no se­cret that leafy greens and non-starchy veg­eta­bles are an es­sen­tial part of healthy weight loss, but not all pro­duce is cre­ated equal! “Our re­sults sug­gest that choos­ing high-flavonoid fruits and veg­eta­bles, such as ap­ples, pears, berries, and pep­pers, may help with weight con­trol,” says Mon­ica Ber­toia of the Depart­ment Of Nutrition at Har­vard’s TH Chan School Of Pub­lic Health. “We found in­creased con­sump­tion of most flavonoid sub­classes was associated with less weight gain among men and women aged 27-65 fol­lowed for up to 24 years.” See, healthy food does taste good!
