My, Samantha – YOU’VE CHANGED!

NW - - The Big Nw Turn On! -

She’ll always be Samantha to us, but Kim Cattrall’s looking a little different in her new TV role.

The actress returns in two-part 1920s-set crime miniseries Witness For The Prosecution, and while she may have swapped modern New York couture for an auburn, curly bob, satin gloves and diamonds, the crux of her beloved Sex And The City character is still there. Kind of!

In this latest take on the Agatha Christie classic, Kim plays Emily French, a glamorous London socialite with an appetite for toyboys (sound familiar?) who mysteriously winds up dead.

“She had a mind of her own, she came from wealth, she married a very wealthy man who died, and she got to be one of the first women who could vote,” Kim says of her character.

“So I sort of found her this kind of anomaly in 1923. She had all of these advantages, certainly, but she was very alone, and she had this kind of free spirit.” Witness For The Prosecution premieres
