Uh-oh! When Australia’s former Bachelor and Bachelorette rejects signed on for a second shot at love on spin-off series Bachelor In Paradise, they were expecting fireworks. And that’s exactly what villain Keira Maguire, 31, and Sam Frost runner-up Michael Turnbull, 36, got when they were reluctantly set up on the first date of the series.

Yep, NW can exclusively reveal the pair – who’ve clashed in the past – were furious when they discovered their first shot at romance on the island would be

with each other. In fact, just days into filming, Keira’s threatened to pack up and go home!

“Keira signed on to get set up with a good guy – not someone she already knows and dislikes,” says a source. “She feels like she got stitched up, big time!”

Michael and Keira sparked rumours of a fling when they were pictured together last November, but days later things turned sour between them – with Michael blocking Keira on Instagram. And, of course, Keira lashed out, admitting to NW, “Let’s just think about the situation – I would not date him. I’m not desperate!” Awks!

Now Keira and Michael are said to be devastated that their chance to find love on the show has turned into a big joke.

“You could tell there weren’t any sparks. She wasn’t happy to be there,” NW’S exclusive eyewitness spills. “It definitely looked like they were going through the motions.”

The source adds that following their date, an unimpressed Keira dashed straight into a hotel room where she had a 20-minute meltdown.

“[She] was rattling off half a dozen names [of Bachelors] and putting them all under the umbrella of ‘Absolutely Not Suitable,’” our spy reveals.

“She was actually quite foul with her language – most of her answers wouldn’t have been suitable for television.”

Now Keira, said to be crushed, is ready to go home.

“She feels betrayed. She thought she was going to have an opportunity to let someone sweep her off her feet,” says the source. “In the end, she ended up on a date with someone she reckons is a total knob!” n
