First hubby tells all! Before Ashton and Bruce, there was Freddy – and he’s now taking some savage swipes at his former wifey!

Six years after her painful split from third husband Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore remains staunchly single and has stayed largely out of the spotlight. But while the stunning actress has retreated from public life, her first husband Freddy Moore has now come out of the woodwork to spill all about his ex and what he claims is the kookiness behind Demi’s legendary beauty. “I’ve never met a woman with a more obsessive need to be liked and loved,” Freddy, 67, tells NW exclusively. According to Freddy, he and Demi started hooking up in 1979, while Demi was still a teen and living with her thenboyfriend Tom. “I fell in love with her and as soon as she had me hooked, she dumped Tom and insisted I divorce my wife,” he says, putting the blame squarely on the Ghost star. “I was so infatuated, I did it.” Freddy and Demi went on to wed a year later, when she was just 17. But the marriage lasted only five years – and Freddy claims her boozy benders were partly to blame.

“Demi started drinking and staying out late,” he says. “She would come home at 4am.”

In another low blow, he claims Demi’s personality would do a 180 when the drinks were flowing.

“She changed from being sweet and sexy to mean and angry, flying off the handle at anything,” he alleges. “She’d get depressed very easily and would sit watching TV for hours on end, not coming to bed and barely speaking to me.”

While Demi might not have been paying too much attention to Freddy, he reckons she wasn’t shy in lapping it up from plenty of other blokes.

And it’s this constant need for attention and affection that he believes is the real reason his ex-wife has never found true love, despite her string of high profile relationships (see right).

“She flirted with lots of guys because they gave her the flattery and attention she craved,” Freddy reveals.

Indeed, despite being one of Hollywood’s most glamorous and successful leading ladies, Demi, 55, has admitted to having deep insecurities.

“What scares me is that I’m going to ultimately find out at the end of my life that I’m really not lovable, that I’m not worthy of being loved,” she said in 2012. “That there’s something fundamentally wrong with me.” But a source reckons kooky Demi’s superstitious ways also hinder her quest for happiness.

“She’s really into psychics, astrologers, numerology – all that occult stuff. It runs her love life,” spills the insider. Psychic Maria Papapetros, who worked with Demi on the 1991 flick The Butcher’s Wife, confirms she’s hooked on all-things hippy-trippy!

“She also wears a crystal around her neck,” says Maria of Demi, who ended up hospitalised in 2012 with convulsions after she admitted to smoking something “similar to incense”.

“Demi says, ‘It pulls in good vibes, shoves negative feelings away and blesses me with good health. I’d be lost without it.’”

Or, it seems, with it! n

Cougar gone wild!

On the rare occasions that Demi does hit the red carpet, she’s usually flanked by her daughters Tallulah, Scout and Rumer Willis She loves to party with her girls in private, too! While she is stunning, Demi has said she’s worried she will find out...
