‘Reclusive’ Johnny spirals

The knocks keep coming for the ‘struggling’ actor as he’s hit with yet another lawsuit

NW - - Royal Wedding -

He was once one of Hollywood’s most in-demand actors and the crush of women the world over – but Johnny Depp has become a troubled recluse as his life continues to spiral out of control.

For months the Pirates Of The Caribbean actor, 54, has been embroiled in a bitter $33 million court battle with his former business managers at The Management Group, claiming they mishandled his fortune. Now, he’s being sued by his ex-bodyguards Eugene Arreola and Miguel Sanchez for unpaid wages, amid claims they were forced to work in dangerous conditions.

The new lawsuit contains explosive allegations against Johnny, including claims by Eugene and Miguel that they were forced to cover up his out-of-control partying and once had to “wipe drugs from Depp’s face in a nightclub to stop others around him seeing the substance”.

The men also allege they had to act as babysitters for his children Lily-rose and Jack while Johnny “spiralled into a financial hurricane”.

With the lawsuit coming hot on the heels of Johnny’s messy $9 million divorce from Amber Heard – which was finalised in 2017 – NW’S insider says it’s a burden the “struggling” and “depressed” star could do without.

“Johnny’s definitely been worse for wear ever since he split from Amber. Hardly anyone sees him anymore, but when they do, it’s not pretty,” a source spills. “It looks like he spends his days drinking, because whenever he appears on set he’s all bloated and pasty.”

In fact, sources claim the one-time heart-throb is now living a reclusive lifestyle as he struggles to deal with his never-ending legal issues and only leaves his house to work or to “pop in” to his former club, The Viper Room in West Hollywood. “He’s never been the most outgoing personality in the room, but Johnny’s become a total introvert these days,” the insider explains. “He’s holed up in his Hollywood Hills place, which is rundown and dark.”

And it seems Johnny can’t seem to catch a break at work either. Last week hee was accused of assaultingng a crew member on the set of his new flick Labyrinth after “smoking and drinking all day”.

According to reports, Johnny yelled in front of the location ation manager’s face and tried taking aking a swing at him, shouting, “I’ll give you $100,000 to punch me right now!”

While director Brad Furman rushed to his star’s defence and called him a “consummate professional”, the accusation did little to help Johnny’s current situation and pals are worried for his mental state.

And with rumours continuing to swirl that the actor could be up to $53 million in debt, it seems things aren’t going to get any easier for poor Johnny any time soon.

“If Johnny continues living this miserable existence, everyone’s worried the guy will drink himself into an early grave,” the source warns. “He doesn’t have much of an inner circle left, but his friends and of course his kids are trying to drag him out of this funk. But so far it’s not working. Johnny seems determined to be a recluse.” n

‘EVERYONE’S WORRIED THE GUY WILL DRINK HIMSELF INTO AN EARLY GRAVE’

‘Johnny needs help,’ says an insider. ‘It’s so sad to see him like this’ HIDING AWAY With Johnny forced to sell off most of his property portfolio in the wake of his legal battles, pals say he now rarely leaves his “rundown” Hollywood mansion. “It’s a...
