Fresh from a two-month stint in re­hab to tackle her sub­stance abuse is­sues, Heather Lock­lear’s get­ting a re­al­ity check of a dif­fer­ent kind – she’s join­ing the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills!

Af­ter shock­ing as­sault charges led to her de­ci­sion to en­ter an LA clinic in March, the 56-year-old star has been work­ing hard to get her life back on track. She even spent Mother’s Day with her semies­tranged daugh­ter Ava, 20.

And now her pro­fes­sional life’s get­ting a boost too. In Touch mag re­ports Housewives pro­ducer Andy Co­hen has been af­ter Heather to join the fran­chise “for years”, and “her peo­ple think it might be a good way for her to stay ac­count­able and sober”.

In fact, the in­sider says join­ing the show could be the “start of a come­back” for the trou­bled ac­tress, who al­legedly punched a po­lice of­fice and almost bit fi­ancé Chris Heisser’s nose off dur­ing her March ar­rest!

Still, there is some con­cern it could be a recipe for dis­as­ter r for Heather, con­sid­er­ing how much drama – and booze oze – comes with the show. w.
