Matthew’s

HEROIN HIT?

NW - - NW News -

Matthew Perry has always been open about his battle with prescription drugs, but insists his drug use never extended to heroin.

“The fact that I never tried heroin is the only reason I’m able to sit here,” the Friends star said during a 2013 interview. “If I had tried that, I would not be around.”

However, last week Matthew’s ex-girlfriend Kayti Edwards shockingly claimed that Matt did attempt to smoke it back in 2011 – but failed. “He lit the tin foil and smoke was going everywhere but his mouth... He was getting angry,” Kayti told In Touch.

In May that year, Matthew, 49, entered rehab for the third time.

“I couldn’t stop,” he later admitted. “Eventually, things got so bad that I couldn’t hide it, and everybody knew. You can’t have a drug problem for 30 years and then expect to have it be solved in 28 days. Getting sober is really a hard thing to do.”
