NW - - This Week's Big Questions -

Before he wed Diana in 1981, there was reportedly one question pressing on Prince Charles’s mind: “Shall I go gay?!” That’s one of the revelations from new doco Paxman On The Queen’s Children, where the future monarch’s friend and fellow llow Cambridge student Broderick Munro-wilson reckons the suggestion was a frazzled Charles’s response to a speculative newspaper list of candidates for the next Queen of England. “We all roared with laughter and moved on,” says Broderick. So was Charles just having an LOL with his college mates? You never know – and with a recent survey having shown that two-thirds of Brits would have no problem with a same-sex monarch marrying their partner, there’s never been a better time for Charles to reassess his sexual preference and come bursting out of that royal closet!

‘One is not a gay,’ said Charles (maybe)
