Expensive celeb trainer? It’s a “no thanks” from Catherine Zeta-jones, who has one super simple secret for looking as incredible as she does at 49 – and it’s all about giving everything a go.
From hula hooping to tap dancing, the Welsh stunner says her love for staying active is enough motivation for her.
“I love exercise, even things like the elliptical machine and stretching,” Catherine says. “It’s a legacy of dancing all those years.”
Getting that body takes discipline, though, with The Mask Of Zorro star working out every day, whether it’s swimming, tennis or cycling.
“Catherine had a huge gym built into her Connecticut mansion with all the latest high-tech equipment,” a source explains. “She tells her friends that an hour of sweating it out gives her a glow for the rest of the day, better than any facials or fillers could give her.”
FOOD FOR THOUGHT When it comes to her diet mantra, the mum-of-two has a few tried-and-tested ways to keep her figure in check.
“Water, maintaining my ph balance, no alcohol and keeping my body free of any inflammation, inside and out,” she says. That means cutting out processed foods and eating plenty of antioxidantrich fruits and vegies, including garlic, peppers and dark leafy greens, as well as herbs and spices like turmeric, oregano and ginger.
“She swears it makes her feel half her age,” says the insider.
SECRET WEAPON Sorry all you Diet Coke lovers, CZJ’S anti-ageing motto is all about skipping the fizzy drinks and loading up on good old H20 instead. “The real hydration comes from within,” she explains. “You can never drink too much water. No diet sodas!”
