Is Gaga really hot for Jeremy – or is the actor merely a pawn in her love game?

NW - - News -

Looks like you missed your chance, Bradley Cooper – because Lady Gaga has gone off with one of your best mates to show you what you’re missing! Yep, Gaga has decided that a star is bored and lined herself up a new lover in actor Jeremy Renner.

“She’s been going to Jeremy’s house a lot and staying into the early morning hours,” spills a spy. “Gaga’s impressed with him. He might come across as arrogant, but she thinks he’s highly intelligent and interesting. She also feels he’s a great dad and loves the way he dotes on his daughter, Ava [five].”

Well, did Bradley think Gaga was going to just hang around? The pair were the subject of speculation as to the nature of their relationship

after they took the lead roles in A Star Is Born and seemed to let the story spill over into their own lives – professing their love for each other at every turn. Then there was that performance of Shallow at the Oscars, which no-one could ignore.

Since then, Bradley, 44, and partner Irina Shayk seem to have rebooted their romance, leaving Gaga, 32 – who recently broke off her engagement to Christian Carino – free to see someone new.

The singer’s pals say they’re surprised at how quickly Jeremy, 48, has begun referring to Gaga as his “girlfriend”. He also showed up in the VIP section of her Vegas show and was there when she gave an impromptu performance of Fly Me To The Moon at an LA bar. Still, the audience couldn’t help but notice a touch of melancholy in her voice as she crooned the Sinatra hit.

“There’s little doubt who she was thinking about while singing,” said one source. “Gaga really loves Bradley. She’s just frustrated he isn’t free of the ties that bind him – Irina, mainly – and seems unwilling to change his life. Those who know Gaga best believe Jeremy is going to emerge the winner here... ”
