BERRIES AT THEIR BEST
We so enjoy reading NZ Gardener magazine. It’s full of beauty and useful information, and it’s always interesting to read what other gardeners are doing in their patch.
I wanted to tell you about our blueberry bush, planted in our herb garden, which is producing daily handfuls of fruit even without being protected from the birds. Funnily enough, we have a second bush planted elsewhere in the garden that requires vigilance as soon as the fruit starts to colour. We’ve found that a disused swing seat frame covered in netting is the perfect thing to keep the birds at bay. John & Winsome Edwards, TAURANGA
