Achillea ‘Hella Glashoff’
As perfectly flat landing pads packed with flowers, yarrows (achillea) make a useful wildlife drawcard in the garden while adding some horizontal architecture to counterbalance a plethora of spiky flowers. Yarrows do best on a light soil baked by sun. Many can be prone to rotting off over a wet winter but ‘Hella Glashoff’ – from Marshwood Nursery – is a bit tougher than most and the greyish leaves nicely complement the soft colouring of the flowers.
