Vegepod is one of New Zealand’s newest gardening innovations allowing people to successfully grow their own vegetables at home.

The Vegepod solves the challenges often faced when growing veges, in particular the watering requirements and bugs. Vegepods have a unique self-watering system that captures and stores rainwater which plants can access continually via the wicking system. Therefore, you don’t need to remember to water your garden for weeks and you use 80% less water than a normal vege patch.

The protective cover keeps out pests and animals such as white butterfly, slugs, cats, dogs and birds and reduces the need for weeding. The cover also creates a warmer greenhouse micro-climate allowing you to grow year round.

With 30cm of growing depth, almost any vegetable or herb can be grown in the Vegepod, including root veges, strawberries and tomatoes.

Vegepods come in various sizes making them suitable for any household or property, whether you live in an apartment with a small balcony or want a large family garden. If you are renting or planning to move, they can be taken with you.

Stands and wheels are available to raise your Vegepod to waist height so bending over is eliminated.

The base is made from a UV stablised polypropylene, durable and completely food-grade safe allowing you to grow organically.
