LIFE’S A BEACH —

REPCO BEACH HOP 18

NZV8 - - CONTENTS - WORDS: CONNAL GRACE

What can we say about the annual Beach Hop festival that hasn’t already been said? It’s an event that should need no introduction, and is unequivocally the biggest automotive event of any sort in this country of ours. This year marked the 18th consecutive Beach Hop festival, and the eighth with naming-rights sponsor Repco on board — a strong sign that Noddy Watts and the crew behind it have well and truly found their groove. The established formula sees a five-day festival that never gets tedious or overwhelming, simply because of how well planned it all is. However, what you can’t plan for is the weather, and, with a dodgy-looking forecast, all we could do this year was hope and pray. It must have worked, because we were treated to a stunning week reflective of the traditional Kiwi summer. So, without further ado, we present to you the best of Repco Beach Hop 18!
