EASY AIR FLOW

09 Install the stepcoupler onto the throttle body, and secure it with the provided hose clamp. Repeat this with the provided coupler onto the filter adapter, and secure this with the provided hose clamp.

10 Remove the IAT sensor from the factory intake tube — it will be used with the K&N replacement intake pipe and should wiggle out of the stock composite pipe. Install the provided grommet into the K&N intake tube, and remove the old O-ring from the IAT sensor and install it in the replacement intake pipe.

11 Install the new intake tube into the humped coupler at the filter end, and then into the coupler at the throttle body, before adjusting the pipe’s position for best fit and securing with the provided hose clamps.

12 Install the provided crankcase vent hose onto the existing valve-cover port and then to the port on the K&N intake tube — you may need to trim the hose slightly for a perfect fit.

13 Reconnect the IAT sensor plug, reinstall the plastic engine cover, and then loosely fit the last hose clamp around the K&N air filter neck, before installing it and tightening the clamp.

Reconnect the vehicle’s negative battery cable, and then give the intake system a double-check to make sure everything is tight and properly positioned before starting the vehicle. That’s seriously it — now just bask in the goodness of that K&N intake note and guaranteed extra horsepower.

NOTE: Remember to check the new K&N intake set-up periodically for realignment, clearance, tightening of connections, or general condition, depending on the environment in which you live. K&N recommends checking the filter every 25,000 miles and cleaning and re-oiling as required.
