Making it Fit
How the tall engine fits in the engine bay is no fluke. The Roadster Shop chassis was fitted with optional low engine mounts to drop the block height down. Due to the height of the Whipple 2.9-litre supercharger and manifold, the underside of the bonnet still required sculpting to get it all to fit, and a dry sump was added for better undercarriage clearance. The result is a subtle, understated bulge that doesn’t give away just how wild the powerhouse that sits within is.
