1972 HOLDEN HQ

-

Luke’s HQ was a tough piece of kit when it rolled into our studio. The bug-catcher sitting just shy of the arrow-straight bodywork was a sign of the attention to detail that had gone into the build. With Luke being in the wheel and tyre industry, it was no surprise that the billet wheels were unlike anything we’d seen locally — a statement that is equally true a decade on.

Luke still owns the car, stating that the main thing he’s added to it is about 100 coats of wax. He has, however, removed the mini spool and narrowed the diff to allow for a set of custom-made 18x9.5-inch -44 Center Line wheels to be fitted on the rear.
