In­side So­phie’s STALKER HELL!

So­phie Monk has been left fear­ing for her life, af­ter find­ing out her con­victed stalker James Scott Mccabe has fol­lowed her to Bris­bane fol­low­ing his re­lease from prison in Tas­ma­nia. ‘It’s not fun… I don’t go to sleep go­ing, “Awe­some!”’ the 38-year-old shared on The Kyle and Jackie O Show of the news. ‘It’s not great, but I’ve got panic but­tons. I’m think­ing of mak­ing by bed­room into a panic room as well.’

With her fam­ily also bas­ing them­selves in Bris­bane, The Bach­e­lorette star says she’s even taken pre­cau­tions for them. ‘All I can do is just get heaps of se­cu­rity. I’ve got cam­eras ev­ery­where,’ So­phie added. ‘I’m do­ing it for all my fam­ily, too.’

James was given an eight­month sus­pended jail sen­tence in 2015 af­ter send­ing So­phie vi­o­lent and sex­ual mes­sages. ‘The threat is real,’ her man­ager Ti­tus Day re­cently said. ‘The guy is not well and he is once again stalk­ing So­phie.’

Dur­ing his 2015 court ap­pear­ance, a mag­is­trate ob­served that James’ ob­ses­sion be­gan when she ap­peared as a con­tes­tant on re­al­ity show Pop­stars in 1999 – he was 15 at the time. ‘He con­tacted her per­sis­tently and some­times ob­ses­sively… send­ing mes­sages that were of­fen­sive and sex­u­ally sug­ges­tive,’ the mag­is­trate said, also not­ing that he had a list of men­tal health is­sues, in­clud­ing para­noid schizophre­nia and a his­tory of abus­ing il­licit drugs.
