IT’S A MIRACLE’

LOOKS LIKE THE COUPLE HAVE BEEN KEEPING ANOTHER PREGNANCY UNDER WRAPS

OK! (Australia) - - News -

On December 19, Eva Mendes was spotted shopping in Hollywood with her two daughters, and a new accessory – a baby bump! The 44-year-old wore a loose-fitting shirt over her tee and denim skirt, but the telltale signs that another little one might be on the way couldn’t be mistaken. ‘They’re over the moon,’ an insider tells of the possible third addition to Eva’s family with long-time love, Ryan Gosling. ‘They’re telling friends it’s the miracle they never expected.’

The couple are notoriously known for keeping their personal lives extremely private. In fact, Eva was able to keep her last pregnancy a secret until the final weeks before she gave birth! But while the actress prefers to keep the happy news to herself, she’s not shy about sharing her love of motherhood. ‘I’m just so obsessed with my kids that I don’t want to leave them,’ Eva previously gushed about daughters Esmeralda, four, and Amada, two.

Ryan has also made no secret of his happiness since finding his lady love and welcoming their girls. ‘Eva’s the dream mother and they’re dream babies, and it’s like a dream that I’m having right now,’ the 38-year-old shared. ‘I feel so lucky.’

Parenthood hasn’t all been smooth sailing for the couple, with Eva admitting she’s found it difficult returning to work since having her daughters. ‘I think it’s like a day-to-day kind of struggle, you know. And then the guilt! Oh my God, nobody warns you about the guilt that you feel when you do work… I’m all for, obviously, taking care of myself – that’s how I can take care of them, of course – but that guilt that’s just kind of always there. It’s like, “Ugh, this is gonna be there forever now,”’ she explains. ‘I just struggle like every other working mother. It’s so hard, and I haven’t figured out the balance at all. Leaving them is hard.’

And it’s her reluctance to return to acting and the Hollywood social scene that Ryan’s found difficult to comprehend – with his career continuing to go from strength to strength. ‘Things were really tense between Eva and Ryan before – it was awkward even being in the same room with them,’ spills an insider. ‘But they’ve changed towards each other lately and seem really loved-up. Now friends suspect it could be because she’s expecting again.’

Family has always been at the forefront of the couple’s relationship, having welcomed Esmeralda just three years into their romance. ‘When you meet your kids you realise that they deserve great parents,’ Ryan previously shared. ‘And then you have your marching orders and you have to try and become the person that they deserve.’

And while Eva has her doubts about her parenting prowess, the star says she has the most amazing support system helping her to get through it all. ‘I kind of have been figuring it out as I’m going along and it’s just important to have a support system,’ Eva explains. ‘I have my family, I have Ryan’s family and that’s just, like, invaluable to have family around supporting you.’

Despite there being whispers of trouble in their romance in recent times, the possibility of welcoming another ‘miracle’ has appeared to help the pair come out the other side. ‘They’d definitely discussed having another baby at some point, but when things started to get tense they put the idea on the backburner for a bit,’ admits another insider. ‘But their kids mean the world to them and another baby could be just the thing that brings their family back together.’
