Zeroes and Pointers

-

On page 68 of OBA 42 it is said that the Kawanishi Aircraft Co. designed the Zero fighter plane. In fact the Zero, code named Zeke by the Allies, was produced by Mitsubishi, having been designed by head designer Jiro Horikoshi and team in the 1930s. Kawanishi did design and produce a fighter plane during WW2. This plane, code named George by the Allies entered service well into the war and was mainly used against American heavy bombers. Regarding Pointer motorcycles, I remember seeing one in the early 1960s on display in a window of Burling & Simmons, Parramatta Road Auburn. Anything relating to Pointers that may have been there when Frasers took over would have been sold off or more likely, dumped. Brian Guthrie Port Noarlunga South, SA
