Sandcast 750

Brings a motza

-

On 10th February, a Honda CB750 sold on US eBay for $148,000.00 after attracting 102 bids. According to the information posted by the seller, Mr Vic World, the turquoise CB750 was one of four pre-production models produced in 1968 and sent to the US for the Las Vegas Show and for testing my various magazines. Bespoke features included a billet crankshaft, one-off 26mm Keihin carbs, different mudguards and engine covers, and the sand-cast crankcases. The spiel says that one of the four US prototypes was sent to the crusher, one still resides in Europe, another has disappeared completely, leaving this bike as the only one in the public world. Mr World operates World Motorcycles in San Francisco and has restored Hondas for the Honda collection Hall in Japan, and for the Barber Museum in Alabama.
