Hosts Bonanza launch

-

The official launch for the 2014 Penrite Broadford Bike Bonanza took place on Friday 7th February at the fabulous new premises of KH Equipment at Hallam, east of Melbourne. The venue, which is adjacent to the company’s original factory, opened only in December, and houses state of the art equipment to produce their range of air-powered starters which are used in the mining industry worldwide. Of course, the proprietors, Ken and Barry Horner, are more famous in the motorcycle world for creating and racing the sensational Irving Vincents, six of which were on display. Members of the media and our guests were treated to a factory tour that included seeing an 80kg billet being reduced to an 8kg crankshaft, and to the musical sound of an Irving Vincent engine on the factory’s dynamometer.
