The things people do. TREVOR JONES sent us this photo (below left) of his latest project – a 2/3 scale composite model of a 1930s Indian Four engine. Trevor says, “It took over 1,200 hours to build and has over 870 individual pieces in it. It is made from MDF, pine, PVC pipe, bodyfiller, an old credit card, a Corn Flakes box, a chopstick, ball point pens, a pencil, bicycle spokes, pieces of a baseball bat, twist ties from loaves of bread, a coffee tin lid, fencing wire, metal from a clothes horse, copper pipe, part of a broom handle, a plastic measuring cup, the throat of a vase, the belt from a vacuum cleaner, and the handle of an old washing trolley”. Remarkable as this achievement is, it is not the first time Trevor has constructed 2/3 scale working models. His past efforts include a Harley-Davidson board track racer and a veteran Ariel with sidecar.
