David White steps down

After 23 years at the helm of Motorcycling Australia, David White will vacate the CEO’s chair in mid-May. White came to the organisation from the real estate industry, where he ran his own business in Heidelberg. He also served as president of Motorcycling Victoria. One of David’s many achievements was the creation of Motorcycling Australia Insurance Limited, which has underwritten the sport in Australia for the past eleven years. He will continue to manage the insurance part of MA for the immediate future, and will also continue to serve on the Museum & Heritage Committee, which runs the annual Broadford Bonanza. “I am very passionate about this (the M&H committee),” says David. “With the funds raised from the Bonanza, MA has managed to purchase some very significant bikes, and I hope that in the not too distant future MA will be able to establish a proper museum so the public can see and appreciate this.” The new Motorcycling Australia CEO is Dale Gilson, who most recently was CEO of Speedway Australia, who takes up his position on May 12.
