Australia’s biggest classic bike gathering just gets bigger every year. The 2014 Penrite BBB drew over 1,100 motorcycle entries across the seven discipline­s, using the road race, motocross, scrambles, trials, enduro, speedway and dirt track circuits, with more than 5,200 spectators soaking up the brilliant weather. Easter fell Each year the Bonanza has had a special theme, and for 2014 it had two; celebratio­ns of the Castrol Six Hour Races and the BP Desert Rallies. Former desert bashers got together on the Friday evening to witness the release of Roger Harvey’s latest book – a photograph­ic compile of the events that began as the Sunraysia 250 and and featured interviews with racing star of the ‘sixties and ‘seventies Peggy Hyde, plus a one-hour interview of special guest Graeme Crosby by MC Alan Cathcart. In addition, the inaugural awards for the Legends of Motorcycli­ng were made to Ted Goddard and Lindsay Urquhart by Motorcycli­ng Australia
