Takes on Good­wood Re­vival

This year’s Good­wood Re­vival sees the for­mula for the pres­ti­gious Barry Sheene Tro­phy re­vert to the ear­lier mod­els – Group 1 for Up to De­cem­ber 1953 GP rac­ing bikes, and Group 2 for up to De­cem­ber 1954 con­verted road bikes. The Irv­ing Vin­cent team in Mel­bourne has an­nounced it will mount an as­sault on Group 2, us­ing a Vin­cent Rapide re­cently pur­chased by the Horner broth­ers from long-time Vin­cent Own­ers Club mem­ber Bob Wil­liams. This ma­chine has cov­ered many thou­sands on miles in Bob’s hands, in­clud­ing a trip to the Isle of Man TT. The Rapide will be pre­pared in the Horner’s mag­nif­i­cent new fac­tory at Hal­lam, and rid­den in the two-rider, two-leg event by Beau Beaton and Craig McMartin.
