The brainchild of Andy Brebner and business partner Andrew, both keen motorcyclists, the Red Plate Café opened for business on the 11th of April 2014, and is situated in the main street of Yea, 100km north-east of Melbourne. “The cafe was an idea to give car and bike clubs somewhere to stop on club runs, or to be a destination for runs. We sell the best coffee and pies in town, also have a broad variety of food. We have a large courtyard with the front cut off a Holden HR car set up as a BBQ (with twin 4-barrel direct-injection gas BBQ plates) set up to cater for groups over 20 for a set fee – all you can eat barbie fully catered starting at $20~$28~$38 depending on budget. We are open 7:30am to 6pm Thursday till Monday, especially public holidays. The cafe is like a motoring museum with food and coffee.” The Red Plate Café is at 25 High Street, Yea, Vic 3717.
