New pit stop at Malmsbury

Malmsbury sees plenty of motorcycle traffic, being on the favourite route for weekend runs out of Melbourne, and recently a new restaurant/café, Moto Bean opened for business. Ron Weste had his camera there. Moto Bean is owned by husband and wide team Lachy and Laura Evans; the barn-style eatery built by Laura’s father George, with rammed earth walls, stone fireplaces, and large decks overlooking the gardens. Laura and Lachy roast their own coffee and serve all-day breakfasts and lunch using local produce. Restored bikes and cars add to the rustic theme, and jazz-mad Lachy is organizing live music during the day and soon at nights.
