Restoration of my Model 25 New Imperial

Old Bike Australasia - - NEW IMPERIAL 150 - New Imperial Motor Cycles.

My brother Rod Macdonald has done a fantastic restoration of my little bike, and it is a credit to his skill and patience as a restorer. We have kept the restoration as original as possible, and have had to source bits from all over the world to complete it. Other Nimpomaniacs may notice that the headlight, carburettor and muffler are not original. I can vividly remember an elderly gent putting to work on a unit construction New Imperial – either a 150 or a 250 – along Fenton Street, Rotorua, New Zealand in 1947-1948. It had a distinctive exhaust note. My thanks to Chas Lipscombe for giving me permission to copy parts of his book,
