Old Bike Australasia - - EYES RIGHT / READING AND WATCHING -

The 2014 Troy Bayliss Classic will go down as one of the all time great dirt track events in Australia. Never before had such an array of motorcycle racing stars from nearly every discipline fronted the starter’s gate together and fittingly it was the man who started the event – three-time Superbike World Champion Troy Bayliss – who took the top prize ahead of Troy Herfoss and 2013 winner Mick Kirkness. The second running of the TBC saw American dirt track legends Sammy Halbert and Henry Wiles both make the long flight to Old Bar on the NSW mid-north coast, with Halbert taking the fight right up to local boy Bayliss. Other legends racing the TBC included Supersport World Champions Chris Vermeulen and Karl Muggeridge, MotoGP race winner Garry McCoy, enduro and desert racing champion Toby Price, Moto3 championship hope Jack Miller and legends Stephen Gall, Jason Crump and Jeff Leisk. Sit back and check out the action from the 2014 Troy Bayliss Classic, a fierce racing event that is fast becoming one of the premier off-road racing events in the world.
