Last year you were kind enough to print a letter that I wrote in issue 38. The letter was called ‘50 years of motorcycling on old bikes’ and it included a plea for contact from people who had known myself
and the Griffin sisters when we made our tour of Australia in 1970/71. I was very happy to receive several replies and re-acquaint myself with old friends. With their help I finished my input of the book and am happy to advise that it is now available for purchase on Amazon.com in both paperback and Kindle format. It is a remarkable record of early touring in Australia and also of our impressions of this country, which as immigrants, was new to us. I will be having book launches in various places, the first being in my home town of Port Lincoln S.A in August, then at the Horizons Unlimited meeting in WA in October. After that I plan to be in Adelaide. I can do talks on this book and my previous one, ‘Where Angels Fear to Tread’ (also available on Amazon) at motorcycle shops or clubs on request.
