Tony Holden, from Lidcombe NSW,m provided the answer to the identity of the rider in the “Speedway Oldie” photo in last issue. “This is Fred Bush, who became a successful rider of speedway outfits when he finished with solos, at places like Westmead Speedway. I worked with Fred at Jim Eade’s shop on Parramatta Road Ashfield.” Bob Levy confirms the same. “Just to the right of Fred’s head is Jack Ehret, and on the other side in the background is Jack ‘Junior’ Eaves, who was killed at Bathurst Speedway.”
