Another Aussie gold

In relation to the story in OBA 46 about “Gold Medal Motorcyclists”, it would appear that as well as A.W. Gregory and Stuart Williams winning Gold medals in the ISDT, another Australian also won a Gold Medal in that 1925 event – Arthur George Stratford. He was also 2nd in the Junior TT at Goulburn in 1914. Stratford actually appears in the photos accompanying your story. On Page 72, he is the AJS road tester on the left, with Stuart Williams middle and Gregory right. On page 74, the two photos at the bottom of the page, Stratford is on the right in both. Apparently Stratford went to England with Williams and it looks like the Australians were employed as testers for AJS. Peter Shannon Taree, NSW
