23 August, 2014 – Fagan Park, Galston NSW

The annual Friends of Fagan Park day, at Galston in Sydney’s north west, drew 26 Velocettes and an interesting variety of other marques. Bruce Stamford from Mudgee brought along his as-found Velocette Model GC, the C standing for Colonial. This 250cc two stroke is an extremely rare model and was originally sold to a Stock & Station agent in Armidale before ending up in Wagga Wagga. Mark Vella’s Mk2 KSS was discovered in a shed in Chinchilla and was ridden to the event from Thirroul on the NSW South Coast. Of particular interest was a rough looking Velo MAC scrambles special which Peter Wolfenden recently discovered beneath a house. The bike is believed to have been raced by several members of Fairfield MCC.
