Calling all scratchers
Distinguished Gentlemen and café racers, here is your new steed. Triumph has announced a limited run of the Thruxton Ace Special Edition, named after the North London truck stop that became the mecca for ‘sixties road burners. The Thruxton Ace has several features to distinguish it from the standard model; special paint and decals, sculptured Oxblood seat with detachable seat hump, original style bar-end mirrors, and a handlebar mounted plaque of authenticity. According to Triumph’s Mark Berger, “We will only be getting a limited number of these special Thruxtons, so we expect customers to be lining up. We hope to received our first shipment before the end of the year.” The release of the Thruxton Ace took place in September on the Brighton seafront in southern England, where more than 25,000 fans rocked up. It’s believed the local barbers quickly sold out of Brylcreem.
