I really enjoyed the Redex Trial story (OBA 46) and recently found this original press image shot at the first petrol station west of the Blue Mountains located on the corner of George Street and the Great Western Highway Bathurst. Today there is a tyre sales outlet there. The print back was marked telegraph 2 and a half day trial however was undated. I was given this image by Arthur Blizzard in 1988 and it has languished in an archive. Frank Colzato Bathurst, NSW backyard in Lidcombe with me on the tank and my sister as pillion. Later in life Joe fell on hard times and all his trophies and memorabilia were long gone before he passed away in the late ‘90s. All that remains now are the memories and one or two old photographs. Thanks for refreshing those memories. Edward Renyard Thirlmere, NSW
