Beeza bashing

-

More memories of the ‘seventies; Arthur and Ernie Gentz were building two rooms onto the house I had bought outside Gilgai (in the NSW Northern Tablelands). Arthur had a very nice 1961 650 Triumph, and after he gave me a ride on the back I was hooked. A few years later Arthur had a 650 A10 BSA with a flame paint job for sale for $350, and I decided to buy it. The biggest adventure on the Beeza was riding down to Tamworth- what a trip that was – going down through Bundarra the road was mostly unsealed, so the bike and myself were covered in dirt. I decided to go back home via Armidale and Glen Innes, but darkness was falling and the headlight was getting dimmer and dimmer, so going down the range to Inverell with virtually no lights was a bit scary. I finally made it home, filthy and frozen. I sold the BSA to a bloke down the coast for $1000. The engine number was DA10121884. I wonder where the bike is now? Guy Houen North Deep Creek, Qld
