To coin­cide with the cen­te­nary cel­e­bra­tions of the 1914 Aus­tralianGra­nd Prix, the Dou­glas Own­ers Club held their 2015 Na­tional Rally in Bathurst from Novem­ber 5-8. 77 ex­am­ples of the fa­mous Bris­tol-built mo­tor­cy­cles fronted, with pro­ceed­ings get­ting un­der way on Wed­nes­day with a run to Mount Panorama.

The fol­low­ing day the scene shifted to the nearby Vale Cir­cuit, site of the 1931-1937 Easter races, fol­lowed by a ride to his­toric Aber­crom­bie House. That evening, a may­oral re­cep­tion was held at the Na­tional Mo­tor Rac­ing Mu­seum. Fri­day’s ride went to Chi­fley Dam with a colour­ful dis­play in Bathurst’s King’s Pa­rade Park of Dou­glas bikes and other ma­chin­ery that was in town for the Cen­te­nary cel­e­bra­tions. The four-day event con­cluded on Satur­day with a ride to Kirk­con­nell for the of­fi­cial Grand Prix cel­e­bra­tions, rides around the 1914 cir­cuit, and a din­ner at the Bathurst RSL Club with a num­ber of speak­ers.
