By Ian Foster Self Published. 440pp hard cover RRP: $110 including Postage in Australia To order contact Roland Skate of the CBX-6 Owners Club of Australia ([email protected]). Alternatively you can contact the N.Irish Author, Ian Foster, direct at [email protected]gator.com. The Book costs GBP38.00 plus additional Shipping from Hong Kong. As the title suggests, this is the second book by Ian Foster on the mighty Honda CBX, but as the first book sold out within six months of publication, Ian felt he needed to go again. Naturally the second take contains much fresh material, with contributions from owners and enthusiasts from every corner of the earth. The CBX community is very much a global network of six cylinder enthusiasts, but not all are committed to preserving their motorcycles in original specification. There are literally hundreds of examples of the CBX in highly modified form (notably Roland Skate’s famous racer here Down Under), plus CBX engined cars, go karts, trikes, endless outfits, and solos in all manner of individual expression. I found the history section really interesting (naturally) and there is also a very comprehensive bibliography detailing virtually every book and magazine with CBX information or stories. I can well imagine that no CBX owner will want to be without a copy of this book, which, like the motorcycle itself, is huge.
