Australian Motorcycle Museum closes

The museum conducted by Allen and Lorraine Smith at Haigslea closed in September 2014. The final motorcycle swap meet was conducted there over the weekend of the 7 – 8th February, 2015 by the Historic Motorcycle Club of Queensland. This presented Allen with the opportunity to sell off some of the unwanted machines and parts. He did however retain some machines that he intends to keep. Allen has with the assistance of his son Michael been importing British, American and Japanese machines as well as some parts for several years. At the present time importing is expensive somewhat with the dollar being down to a low level. However he is expecting another container shortly and this has several Moto Guzzis, Honda Fours, Kawasaki and a 6 cylinder Benelli. Allen is now based in Brisbane and later when premises are finished being established he will be able to dispose
