The San Remo

Great article on the Gilera Saturno ( OBA 51), however the 1953 Gilera Saturno noted as photographed at the 101010 Concours is a ‘San Remo’ 581cc, 5 speed close ratio box, Dell’orto SSF 35mm carburetor. It is a very fast bike and whilst not strictly ‘Concourso’ the Ceriani forks and Oldani brake are commensurate with the magnificent engine performance and enable me to stretch the machine without fear of handling or braking issues. This is not just a ‘show pony’ I ride it very regularly and enjoy it immensely. Thanks for including the photo in your article. Neill Green Sydney, NSW
