CBX Rally shapes up
Les and Judy Beyer are organising this year’s CBX Rally, to be held at McLaren Vale, SA from 25-28 September. Les sent us some photos of his latest “project”. “I just couldn’t help myself; I thought the CBX engine would make quite a statement as a coffee table and came across just the right donor bike – way too far gone to restore. And then what do you do with the left over rolling chassis? I put a top on it (old cupboard door) and took it to the 2011 CBX Rally at Tanunda where it was the reception desk and later became a bar at the Show & Shine. It got a few votes in the Modified CBX category despite not having an entry number! It also gets used as a mobile work bench, one of my most useful assets”, says Les.
